Ireland Triumph Over New Zealand

Over one million people tuned in to watch Ireland triumph over New Zealand, the historical match played in the Aviva stadium ended in a 16-9 Irish win over New Zealand.

Jacob Stockdale scored his 12th try in 14 tests with the support of an energetic and rapturous home crowd, it was the only try for Ireland in the match. Luke McGrath revealed that the move had been practised during training but Stockdale kept his nerve to pull off the phenomenal chip and chase run. Brian O’Driscoll commented on the move, “a brilliant Ireland try that was hatched from the training ground.”

The media in New Zealand had all praise for Ireland with Gregor Paul from from the New Zealand Herald commenting on the Irish Team, "Ireland can now claim to be the best team in the world after producing a stunning performance that was brave, creative and relentless."

There is no doubt that the win over New Zealand will add to the atmosphere for the last Autumn International game where Ireland will play the U.S.A on Saturday 24th at the Aviva Stadium.
