Avoca Joins the Shelbourne Social in One Ballsbridge

This week, Ballsbridge has welcomed their newest arrival, Avoca, who have opened the doors to their brand new 8,000 sq. ft. food emporium alongside Dylan McGraths Shelbourne Social in One Ballsbridge.

This marks Avoca’s thirteenth premises in Ireland which is sure to be a welcomed addition to the area. Avoca handweavers have been in business for over a staggering 300 years, and having changed hands in 2015 to Aramark, the Avoca brand is thriving as well as ever.  The new premises take prime positioning in the centre of the ever-growing Ballsbridge in close proximity to a number of office buildings, apartment blocks and hotels.

Avoca’s new Food Market is a first-class experience with an extensive offering, boasting a neighbourhood deli counter, coffee bar and ‘Hello and Go’ section. The Avoca butcher showcases the finest meats from the country’s best artisan, organic and free-range meat producers. There is a cheese and charcuterie counter, a Parisian-style patisserie filled with decadent, freshly baked cakes, and a carefully chosen selection of fine wines.

With the new location, Avoca are offering several new innovative elements to the store which have never been seen before. From their pop-up food concepts, currently in residence by Páng and a Poulet Bon Femme, to a disco-inspired woodfired pizza oven, there will be something to surprise and delight every customer.

In addition to the food market and pop-up food stands, Avoca have also launched an onsite restaurant at the new location. The Fodder restaurant will centre around deliciously simple, quality fare cooked to perfection. In keeping with Avoca’s well-established dedication to and passion for Irish food provenance, the menu will focus on seasonal and local ingredients, hand-prepared with care and attention by the team of talented chefs. Fodder will serve breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and will offer an exceptional evening dining experience from Wednesday to Saturday.

Ballsbridge has a large range of amenities to enjoy, including, four hotels and some of Dublin’s finest restaurants. This summer will see the arrival of Social Media giant, Facebook’s, first 500 staff to their Ballsbridge campus fit to serve 6,000, with the remaining to be phased in by 2022, to what will be their new International Headquarters. Ballsbridge has never looked so good, to work, dine and indeed play.
