How Ballsbridge Celebrated the Dublin Horse Show

Each year, we are delighted to showcase one of the top equestrian events in the world in the heart of Ballsbridge. The Dublin Horse Show is synonymous with the height of summer. People come from far and wide to have a truly unique experience that only the Dublin Horse Show can provide. This is always the perfect time for Ballsbridge to shine, allowing those visiting the community to admire the array of amenities that we have to offer; from historical landmarks to the wide range of cuisines and everything in between.

Now that it’s been a whole week since the annual Dublin Horse Show kicked off, we’re taking a look back at how the Ballsbridge community celebrated the amazing atmosphere of the annual equestrian event.

Here at Ballsbridge Living, we were delighted to announce our Dublin Horse Show competition in conjunction with The RDS, especially for the stores in Ballsbridge. The competition saw retailers showcase their creativity by commissioning local artists to decorate their storefronts for the inaugural Horse Show Storefront Competition. The entries were judged by Mary Cosgrave of Fáilte Ireland, Keelan Bourke of Retail Excellence and Joanne Rochford on behalf of Ballsbridge Living. The winning shopfront was based upon two criteria; the creativity of the display and the overall look of the storefront.

While the stakes were high with such a high standard of entries, the judges chose Bridge Jewellers as their winners, with Roly’s Bistro as the first runners up. Be sure to head over to our Instagram page to check out more of the amazing entries we received!

Regarded as one of the best equestrian shows in the world, it was an absolute pleasure for Ballsbridge Living to get behind the Dublin Horse Show. But the superb sport is just one of the reasons to attend a Show that is also renowned for style, shopping and socialising. It’s also one for families too, with dedicated children’s entertainment and pony rides found around the grounds. Combined with hundreds of browsing opportunities, a range of quality food offerings in restaurants, bars and cafes, live music, daily entertainment and an array of family fun in the Kids’ Zone, the Dublin Horse Show is where summer memories are made. Set within the majestic 42-acre showgrounds of the RDS Ballsbridge, the Show offers a truly unique experience to all visitors, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
