The French Paradox Named in Ireland's Top Ten Wine Bars

In the gorgeous area that is Ballsbridge, it’s easy to forgo the hustle and bustle of town in favour of the array of cosy cafes, traditional bars and award-winning restaurants in the tree-lined village. Although we’re situated on the outskirts of Dublin City Centre, there is no shortage of amazing options to wine and dine in.

We are proud to say that The French Paradox has been named as one of the top ten wine bars in Ireland by the Sunday Business Post. Speaking of The French Paradox, The Sunday Business Post wrote “one of the fixed stars in the Irish wine firmament, The French Paradox is a small piece of French perfection that somehow has been transported and re-imagined in exacting detail on the banks of the Dodder. This is also a bijoux delicatessen and wine shop, and a restaurant serving simple and devilishly delicious French food.”

Continuing to compliment The French Paradox, the article read: “While France is mentioned in the title, the wines here hail from around the world, though France wins by volume. The service is attentive and deeply knowledgeable, and many of the wines are hand sourced. So expect rarities from Savoie and Poitou, as well as biodynamic delights from producers such as Domaine Fouassier of Pouilly-Fumé.
